How we work

Process drives price.

The difference between a good sale and a great one is rarely the buyer - it's the process. A disciplined, confidential, competitive process is what moves your number, protects your people, and gets you to a clean close. Here is exactly how we run yours.

“You only sell once. The process is the only leverage you get to keep.”
The reframe

Finding a buyer is the easy part.

Every owner assumes the hard part is finding someone to buy. It isn't. In pest control today, national companies and investor-backed buyers are all actively looking - a single phone call finds a buyer.

The hard part is making them compete, structuring terms that protect you after close, and holding the deal together through diligence. That is the work. That is where price is won or lost - and it is the entire reason we exist.

A note on value

Valuation is a range, not a number.

Anyone who gives you a single figure before understanding your business is guessing. There are a lot of variables, and every deal is different - values will vary. We build a defensible range from real transaction data, then the process decides where inside that range you land.

FAQ

The process, answered.

How long does the whole process take?
–

Most sales run six to nine months from engagement to close. The valuation and strategy work happens up front; the competitive process and diligence are where the calendar is spent. Starting the conversation two to three years early gives us room to strengthen value drivers first.

Do you represent buyers too?
+

Never. We are sell-side only. We work for the owner and no one else - no buy-side clients, no split loyalties, no roll-up we are quietly feeding.

How do you keep it confidential?
+

Buyers are approached under NDA with a blind profile that never names your company. Your employees, customers and competitors don't learn you're exploring a sale until you decide to tell them. See the confidential consultation.

What does it cost to work with KAC?
+

It's a fair question - it's one of the first two things every owner asks. Every business and every deal is different, so there's no standard answer we could honestly print here. Kemp will walk you through it, straight and specific, on the first call - no surprises.
